A remarkable gathering took place in France April 29 through May 3 – the 2nd Annual International Pycnogenol® Symposium. It consisted of those individuals who performed and continue to perform the research on Pycnogenol®, those who make the product and, most important, those individuals who have made the Pycnogenol® story a remarkable success – Kaire International Distributors. This historic event took place in Biarritz, France, to set the direction for Pycnogenol’s® future. It was sponsored by Horphag Research Ltd. and M.W. International. Those in attendance included Nick Mangeris, President and Founder of Kaire International, its Distributors and the worlds leading scientists and researchers. Such names as Mr. Charles Haimoff, founder of Horphag Research Ltd., Dr. Peter Rohdewald, Professor R. Watson, Dr. A. Arstila and Dr. Richard Passwater made their latest research available to Kaire International Distributors at this symposium. The research presented at the symposium clearly defined the safety and broad range of benefits Pycnogenol® provides and its promising future. In fact, it is Pycnogenol’s® success that led to the 2nd International Pycnogenol® Symposium which included the invitation of Kaire International distributors as leaders in their field. To quote Mr. Charles Haimoff, “The exclusivity of the Pycnogenol® formulation Nick Mangeris brought to Kaire has propelled his company to become the number one seller of Pycnogenol® in the world. One research question leads to another. Your questions and experiences may be the spark that leads to future research. It was very apparent that the quality and quantity of research will continue to grow. Not only do numerous studies exist but the future is very exciting as scientific minds express their belief in the future uses of Pycnogenol®. In his closing remarks, Charles Haimoff stated, “In 1987, we were lucky to be awarded a U.S. patent on the application of Pycnogenol®. We are grateful to those individuals who patiently have put together the scientific documentation. Thanks to my friends Michael Moers and Lou Wayne at M.W. I hope we all live together and work together for a long time.” The world is looking for effective healthy alternatives, and when those alternatives produce measurable results, we can no longer call them “alternatives”.
